August 2, 1834 – October 4, 1904 French sculptor, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, designed the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbour. Intended to celebrate the centenary of the American Revolution, it was not completed until 1886. Initiated: 1874 Lodge Alsace-Lorraine, Paris
