James Ford Garden

February 19, 1847 – December 8, 1914 Originally from Upper Woodstock, NB, James Ford Garden served as Vancouver mayor for 1898-1900. As an engineer, Garden influenced the development of the city’s infrastructure: an early street car system, sidewalks, road grades and water connections. He also donated the land known today as Garden Park. Raised: 1898/03/31 Cascade Lodge No. 12
