Established in 1898, there have been approximately 6,700 interments since the first, in 1900. Hillside Cemetery was opened in 1951 and any further interments in Pleasant Street Cemetry have been restricted to existing family plots. To date, 32 markers have been identified with masonic emblems. Notable are the number of other society emblems: Odd Fellows, Woodmen of the World and Women of Woodcraft, as well as Legion and Loyal Orange Lodge.
