“And the house which king Solomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thirty cubits.” I Kings 6:2.
The following represent several attempts to depict King Solomon’s Temple.

Two famous models of King Solomon’s Temple were exhibited in London : Rabbi Leon‘s in 1675 and again around 1755; and Gerhard Schott‘s in 1725, in size about 20 feet x 20 ft. x 12 ft.¹ The great church at Cluin-mic-Nois, Ireland, possessed a carracan (model) of the Temple presented by Maelseachlainn, son of Domhnall (d. 1022). .² Hudson’s model was on display in the Museum of the Grand Lodge of California, at San Francisco.³ Other models include those displayed at the 1939 New York World’s Fair and the 1964-65 New York World’s Fair.⁴
